Immersing in the Silent Sea, a 'briiliant Pokemon adventure' and Block It!

It's the start of the new year! I haven't been blogging for like... a really long time. Looking back at year 2021, there had been more downs than ups. I'm stuck in my company, made an absolutely horrible decision in my company, lol. But for this post, let's just focus on the bright side, you know, positive vibes. A brand new Aftershock PC, playing my dream games Final Fantasy VIII and YuGiOh! duel links on steam platform, starting my twitch account. The last few weeks of Dec 2021, in particular, had been pretty fruitful.

First up was the new Netflix series "The Silent Sea". The Korean thriller mini-series was so riveting that I basically binge-watched all the episodes during its first day of release on Dec 24. You know, I'm not really into Korean shows, even Squid Game when I just skipped to the ending. However, this show has completely changed my perspective of Korean shows.  The Silent Sea is a definite must watch - you will not regret it. Special mention also to Rurouri Kenshin Netflix movies which had me emotional everytime, even more than when I last watched the anime.

Secondly was Pokemon Brilliant Diamond. You see, most of the long term fanatics may not buy the game because it is a remake from previous version. However, it was highly significant for me as I had a mission to complete the game. Several years back, I had the emulator in my old PC, but never got to complete the game - due to the game freezing at a certain story stage, worst of all, it was just before the part when I had to catch the legendary Pokemon Palkia at Mt Coronet. LOL.

So... cutting to the chase, while playing Brilliant Diamond, I was pleasantly surprised that I could obtain both Mew and Jirachi at such an early stage in the game! WOW! And they are gifts from the NPC. That means what... I can reroll swiftly for their best natures! Better still, MEW has the ability 'Synchronise'! This implies that if MEW is first in the party and I want to catch a certain Pokemon, this Pokemon will have the same nature as MEW! Of course, the best nature for MEW is 'Modest', which grants addtional special attack at the price of physical attack. Both Mew and Jirachi are not too shabby either and are competitively viable. Mew can learn all the TM moves, so I taught it Ice Beam to counter dragon types. I mean, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond game was totally worth the money spent. Now that I have recently defeated the Elite 4 and Champion, I can take a short breather...

Last but not least was the reunion of my cousin with his kids. There was a Christmas lunch at The Pines restaurant where I gave his kids (aged 4 and 2) a simple Pokémon tote bag and origami. During New Year’s Eve I went to their house in SG and played this fun game called Block it! with my 2 cousins and my nephew Joshua (Can’t believe that I am an uncle now, so surreal). In overall I had lots of fun.

Hope that this year will be a much better experience and that I am able to solve my problems at work…

A pretty dark confession to make... may be taken down soon

Oh my god, I have not written for almost 2.5 years. Mind blowing. At the point when I am writing this blog entry, I believe that I am defin...
