Day 2 was Routine pokehunting, but my poke-Friend and I decided to reward ourselves with a hearty meal in chomp chomp. I was very excited as I never been there in ages. Anyway it was a fantastic spread of food - satay, chicken wings, carrot cake and not forgetting the beloved oyster omelette - TOP quality. We were not only enjoying the food but also Feasting our eyes on some seriously TOP quality chiobus. Bagus!
After that there was another alert, we were shocked to realise that a perfect IV lapras with good moveset just spawned at Bugis! As a result, we hurriedly gobbled our food and zoomed to Bugis. Fortunately, were were able to reach the location with 5 minutes to spare, and we successfully catch lapras Another fantastic day!
Looking back the past 2 days, we can take heart that we managed to catch the good rares. But it is even more satisfying to realise that we catch at the LAST MiNUTE.
I thank my Friend for this unforgettable experience and may we experience more of the same in future.

weekend pokehunting part 1- unown and chiobus (Hehe..)
When I watched back the Transformers movie yesterday, I saw how the main character approach a hot chic in his car and gave her a lift. I then thought to myself what could have been, the opportunity was presented in front of me and I squandered it..
Anyway these past 2 days had been Super fruitful. My Friend and I were poke-hunting as usual when there was an alert that shocked us all - UNOWN APPEARED!!!! Holy crap, we thought, we must redeem ourselves for the earlier missed opportunity. Thus, we zoomed off to sheares avenue. We had to make one big u-turn before parking by the road side. At the moment another enthusiatic auntie also stopped behind my car. After which we scurried to the unown location way inside Gardens by the Bay. Training for my upcoming IPPT, I Guess. When we reached unown we only left 1 minute lol. Super Heng! We were thankful for the cyclist who gave us directions to the unown. After successfully catching unown N, all of a sudden, another auntie ran in our direction, but by then, unown just disappeared! And she ubered taxi all the way from Simei to here! I feel very sad for her, but her auntie Friend consoled her.
Okay so when we were panting our way back to my illegally parked car, we got another pleasant surprise. Got two hot chics at the roadside near my car waiting for someone. I think my Friend was licking his lips with excitement, I'm not sure as I was staring at them and also salivating. As we were in the car for a good five minutes, they were still there! As I wiped off my saliva, my Friend suggested that I should go talk to them to offer them a lift But I was too chicken and drove off. To be honest, if it was raining, I would have stood a higher chance of convincing them to sit in my car. But still, I didn't try. Regret Sia!
But anywayyy, we still managed to Chiong 15 lapras! So it was overall an excellent night!

On an epic quest to become a Pokemon GO master!
Last Saturday midnight, I decided to take the family convertible for a spin. I caught a few brand new Pokémon from the Pokémon go app just to add to my pokedex, especially the much anticipated Feraligatr. However, this experience cannot compare to the one that I enjoyed tremendously with my good friend during 5th of March 2017, on a wonderful Sunday.
My friend had suggested to go Poké-hunting in the afternoon. I initially had my reservations. Firstly, my family might need to use the car. Secondly, Sundays are usually crowded due to less people having to work. However, since it was just my second time, I thought of YOLO and drove to my friend's house anyway, and it was a decision that I would never regret.
Much to my surprise, my friend had suggested to go to Tuas. He proudly said how his friend waited 3 hours for a Lapras. He also explained that rare Pokémon mostly spawn at ulu places like Tuas. I had never drove to Tuas before and was worried about the traffic, but I was freaking excited. Fortunately, the roads at Tuas were almost empty. Our strategy was really straightforward- my friend would diligently discover and plan the route for our target Pokémon via the trusty website sgpokemap, while I would follow his astute navigation and drive to the location asap.
Okay, so I caught like 13 new Pokémon during this super hell-yea epic journey. But I am just going to mention the prominent ones. First Pokémon caught was a Blastoise. This Pokémon was so rare I could only procrastinate during my early days of playing. OMG, what a start. I was pumped up for more. A few new Pokémon I really liked, such as Meganium, Arcanine, Larvitar.
Then came Mareep. This Pokémon left a relatively deep impression on me as we struggled to detect it. It was in some factory. I was so worried that we might have to resort to jumping over the fence, and the spawning time was running out. My friend assured me that our location had "overshot" and I just needed to reverse the car. It was nervewrecking but was worth it as we managed to catch Mareep..
Halfway through the perilous journey, I was super urgent and wanted to RUN, and not SKIP TO THE LOO. As you know Tuas is such a secluded place with no shopping centres, and I was afraid that I have to resort to urinating at the bushes. Out of the blue, I saw a totally random cubicle from a distance, thank GOD!
So after I did my business, I was driving towards the East. All of a sudden, I had never seen my friend so insanely excited before. As you know, my Pokémon go master friend had caught MANY Pokémon before, but one Pokémon in his Wanted list was MILTANK. He had detected this sacred Pokémon at the EXTREMEEE WEST END of the map, for the record, at Tuas South Boulevard. Without hesitation, I u-turned the car and headed West to the exact location. We whipped our handphones and got into swift action. Now my friend was super pumped. He could not contain his excitement after catching Miltank and hi-5ed me. We took a breather to savour the moment, after which realising that our journey had not ended - it had just began.
Next significant moment was Typholosion Pokémon. Of all places, it had to be at the end of a golf course all the way at Lornie Road. As expected, there were few other drivers who stopped there as well. Also, my friend had not caught this Pokémon before. I took some photos of my achievement and drove off. Another rare one "in the bag"!
Just when we were going to "pack our bags" and head home, my friend detected yet another MILTANK! Good, it was located at Mapletree Business City, quite near my friend's home. This time, there were more cars, around 7. The Pokémon community spirit is alive!
I caught several new Pokémon, but my friend was feeling very satisfied as well, so I was pleased. We bid farewell after four fruitful hours in the car.
A last note is that I am really thankful for my friend from the bottom of my heart. Without him, I will not have the motivation and enjoyment of playing Pokémon Go. I am just hoping for more epic adventures like the above.

Starting the year of 2017..
I am writing my blog as I am having my work day. That is how
pathetic things have arrived. Anyway, work is absolutely sickening. That is
simply no point any longer, enough said. I spent my precious time brainstorming
a few analogies, thought that they are quite interesting hence I am recording
in this blog, lest I forget like I usually do.
Anyway, the first goes like this: “I want to give up, you
know like when solving a rubic’s cube. You tried to solve for several days and
still no solution. And now you are still playing with it but realise that it
will go nowhere. That kind of feeling?”
I then ranted on: “Or you know like a car in a roundabout?
Always going round and not knowing that exit?” “Or you eventually found that
exit but it is sealed to construction works? So what now? Of course, you will
have to go round again!”
I thought that I would use SMS to vent my frustrations. Lest
people can choose to read it or not, and not be distracted by my verbal
complaints. I wonder where I got my inspiration from, it just happens. Really, I
have no more encouraging words to say now, regarding work. I am in dire need of
a psychiatrist to get myself together and relieve past memories, cause now I am
in a serious decline, worse than the present Leicester City FC.

Like blue Crimson.. Stunning review of Pokemon sun and moon
So, i just finished my 4th trial island and so far, I have such a wonderful experience- there are so many beautiful awesome moments- where do I even start!!?? But I would say, the most important reason why I love pokemon Moon is the sheer ability to trade! My childhood dream has been fulfilled! For 20 over years, I have played Pokemon on emulator, and I yearned everytime to obtain overpowered Pokemon that can only be evolved via trade, now with the Nintendo 3ds console, it is made possible! I was so excited to unlock machamp, alazakam and gengar, which were so elusive in the past. Many thanks to my good buddy, who was willing to trade. It is very convenient to trade actually, just connect to festival plaza via wifi- a new feature in this pokemon series that enables one to connect to other users internationally. Awesome!
I also love the storyline and the pace of the game. Gone were the tedious gym battles, and now replaced by fun, interesting grand trials. The graphics look pleasing, and it portrays a more relaxed and pleasant environment, giving the player more freedom to explore. The storyline is guided and easy to progress. Your trainer companion, Hau, is very laid back, the whole atmosphere of island paradise Aloha is definitely a great escape from a stressful workday. Oh yes, Pokemon Sun AND Moon, the difference is in their time zones, Moon version will show night time during real day time. Now hat's interesting, because it can influence what pokemon you can catch.
Okay, now let me zoom in to the Pokemon themselves. At first, I was sceptical of the weird looking pokemon, like the ugly ultra beasts, the hilarious hairdo of Dugtrio, the puffed-up face of Persian, the Pikachu imitation of Mimikyu, and especially now my absolute Favourite, the insanely long neck of Alohian Exeggutor. But I thought to myself, why so serious? It is so awkward that it is fun!
Another unique feature is the Alohian Island variants. Some of the familiar pokemon differ in appearance as well as typing, from the predecessor games. Now Raichu is a psychic type, which grants his new psychic attacks a slight boost. Ice Vulpix is uniquely in the Sun version and Ice Sandshrew can only be found in the Moon version.
Now I am going to touch on the gameplay. Wow, obtaining exp share this early in the game accessible to all benched pokemon, definitely motivates me to exp-grind my pokemon! Pokemon levels up at such a blistering pace, better still, when traded, it grants X1.5 exp rate! I dedicated much time evolving my secondary pokemon in the process and improving my pokedex count. Of course, with walkthroughs so accessible in the modern world, it certainly improves the gaming experience. I am now armed with the knowledge of Pokemon in every region, so I can spend fruitful time to "catch 'em all"!
Switching to the battles, Z-moves = Z-mazing! Basically your character is given a watch to activate z-crystals of different Pokemon elements, that are obtained progressively in the story. The Z-crystals will power up your regular attacks to Z-moves that have the potential to OHKO the opponent, but can only be used once. To elaborate, it doubles the Attack/Special Attack rating of the corresponding regular move, so it's best to learn a powerful Attack despite the drawbacks. For instance, Solar Beam is a wonderful Attack but it needs to be charged first before it can be activated. With the Z-move, you can deal double the damage without the cooldown. I have completely annihilated the bosses using this sweet method.
Anyway, there are so many fun moments that I have immersed myself totally into the game. It might be my last Pokemon game before I go into adulthood, so I have to cherish this experience, especially with my buddy playing. $355 is totally worth spending for a priceless experience.

A brand new and unforgettable experience described in the most dramatic fashion
It has been a painstakingly long time since I last blogged. My last few posts have been really negative and i did not find the significance in continuing.. but since today is a special occasion (I am a year older), I couldn't have been more pleased to pen my wonderful experience last night.
Sure, work is still very stressful and horrendous, but at this point, it's just a waste of energy and so exhausting to elaborate on work. Instead, I am vey eager to spread the positivity in my post to compensate all those past hideous stuff that I blogged.
It was 5.30pm when I rushed out of my office quicker than before. I thought to myself: a few days ago, my good buddy suggested out of the blue that we relive our childhood memories by pre-ordering Pokemon sun and moon and more crucially, the sacred device which is the NEW Nintendo 3DS XL. To be honest, at first I was sceptical of his idea, because it was just so expensive for such a small device (though it is "XL"). But somehow, I agreed, because I was predicting the wonderful possibilities that could happen, and.. YOLO. Sure, I had played few Pokemon games in my life, but I had never, ever, played it with a handheld device in my life. It used to be all emulators and auto saves.
After conducting intensive research, my Friend decided that we should go to Funco games in West Mall to purchase the stuff. I highly recommend as the device is really cheap @ $299. Plus warranty if you buy from a trusted seller. I want to thank my Friend from the bottom of my heart. When I held the all New Nintendo 3ds XL, he told me something highly motivational- that we have worked hard to earn our salary just to buy this, and we should enjoy "the fruits of labour". At that time, I did not regret my decision. I felt that it was worth it, worth enjoying life.
So I last said that it was 5.30pm and all that remebering took around 1 hour till I eventually arrived at West Mall and met my Friend. So off we rushed to funco games, and paid $55 for the game - he took the sun version while I chose the moon version, better so we could trade Pokemon to improve our pokedex. After dinner I immediately, without any hint of hesitation, unboxed the game cartridge and slotted it into my device. This was a brand new and unforgettable experience that words cannot fully describe - it was a dream come true, I never had the courage or drive to do these kind of things, and now I'm doing it with my good Friend.
It has to be one of the best pre-birthday experiences of my life, amid all the work depression. Now looking forward, I just want to cast all worries aside and enjoy this game as much as I can.

Fingers crossed for fyp..
I have been worrying the whole night about tomorrow's presentation. I simply have to nail this, as it is graded, and I do not want to let my teammates down. I am in the mood to write a post after such a long time, as I have edited a whole report on ironically, mood reading.
It has been quite a rough week for me as I still cannot recover from the barrage of comments thrown at me by my dear Professor. My fyp presentation was way below par and I was still confused of the concepts in my project. I stammered throughout and I hope the same incident will not happen again tomorrow. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed, and hope for the best!

Confessions of my favourite pastime - Watching anime
Like they say, it is difficult for one guy to always have the spotlight to himself, usually he/she will not be able to survive in the long run. In any anime, featuring just one person throughout the entire season can get really boring to viewers. Every hero needs a sidekick, maybe even more! Having teammates will boost the confidence of the main characters, and that applies to real life as well!
What makes great teams? Here I will be listing prime examples of anime teams that have untapped potential, and will be explaining why they are so formidable along the way:
Cream of the crop:
1. Hunter x hunter
Gon - Kurapika - Leorio - Killua
These four people form an unstoppable alliance that viewers simply adore. So what makes this alliance so highly successful?
First of all, in the first few episodes, a solid three of Gon, Kurapika and Leorio had been established. The amazing thing about the solid three is that the 3 heroes met together by fate. Immediately, they had no problems bonding with one another. The appealing factor is that although 3 of them are very unique (each has their own background and personality), they share a chemistry that cannot be taught in schools. They are always there for one another and thus could get past obstacles without breaking a sweat.
Then in came Killua. Killua is sort of an outsider, but straight away forms a 'bromance' with Gon. Killua then was introduced by Gon to Kurapika and Leorio. Killua then starts to accept the both of them gradually, although not as close as Gon. Kurapika and Leorio start to reciprocate Killua's mutual respect and also help Killua in times of need (nevertheless Killia didn't need help anyway since he's so imba).
The bottomline is this - Killua has to overcome all odds (coming from an assasin's family he was not allowed to make friends) in order to establish an unbreakable bond with the three others. The fact that they are constantly encouraging and believing one another - to the point where they risk their lifes - makes me so emotional. Seeing the smiles on their faces when they reunite and joke about their hilarious experiences, make their friendship so believable. All of the members are outstanding in their own unique way and definitely a force to be reckoned with. The fact is - I cannot think of a team more formidable than the current one.

2. Beyblade and 3. Crush Gear
Tyson - Kai - Ray - Max
The good thing is that this is not your typical TEAM 'JAPAN'. Rather it is TEAM INTERNATIONAL, featuring 2 members from Japan, 1 member from China and one member from USA. Well all of them met together in Japan. The anime gives the impression that it was fate that brought them together after all. Reason is being each of them is in possession of a mystical power known as a bitbeast, and the fact that these bitbeasts were actually together at one point but dispersed to the ends of the world. It just so happened that they were at the same place at the same time. The four of them were in the semifinals of the local tournament and thank goodness, the organiser put them together in one team.
I have mentioned about the good part, now for the 'not so fantastic' part.
As the days passed by, the team did not show enough chemistry. The fact that Kai had quit the team for a rival team just showed jealously amongst the team mates. Reason being Tyson was perceived as the person to beat after having the spotlight all along. Now his teammates want to beat him one day to prove their skill. This shows that a team that appeared to have so much promise is now so fragile and has zero potential. Putting together egoistic characters as a team is a recipe for disaster.
What makes great teams? Here I will be listing prime examples of anime teams that have untapped potential, and will be explaining why they are so formidable along the way:
Cream of the crop:
1. Hunter x hunter
Gon - Kurapika - Leorio - Killua
These four people form an unstoppable alliance that viewers simply adore. So what makes this alliance so highly successful?
First of all, in the first few episodes, a solid three of Gon, Kurapika and Leorio had been established. The amazing thing about the solid three is that the 3 heroes met together by fate. Immediately, they had no problems bonding with one another. The appealing factor is that although 3 of them are very unique (each has their own background and personality), they share a chemistry that cannot be taught in schools. They are always there for one another and thus could get past obstacles without breaking a sweat.
Then in came Killua. Killua is sort of an outsider, but straight away forms a 'bromance' with Gon. Killua then was introduced by Gon to Kurapika and Leorio. Killua then starts to accept the both of them gradually, although not as close as Gon. Kurapika and Leorio start to reciprocate Killua's mutual respect and also help Killua in times of need (nevertheless Killia didn't need help anyway since he's so imba).
The bottomline is this - Killua has to overcome all odds (coming from an assasin's family he was not allowed to make friends) in order to establish an unbreakable bond with the three others. The fact that they are constantly encouraging and believing one another - to the point where they risk their lifes - makes me so emotional. Seeing the smiles on their faces when they reunite and joke about their hilarious experiences, make their friendship so believable. All of the members are outstanding in their own unique way and definitely a force to be reckoned with. The fact is - I cannot think of a team more formidable than the current one.

The good thing is that this is not your typical TEAM 'JAPAN'. Rather it is TEAM INTERNATIONAL, featuring 2 members from Japan, 1 member from China and one member from USA. Well all of them met together in Japan. The anime gives the impression that it was fate that brought them together after all. Reason is being each of them is in possession of a mystical power known as a bitbeast, and the fact that these bitbeasts were actually together at one point but dispersed to the ends of the world. It just so happened that they were at the same place at the same time. The four of them were in the semifinals of the local tournament and thank goodness, the organiser put them together in one team.
I have mentioned about the good part, now for the 'not so fantastic' part.
As the days passed by, the team did not show enough chemistry. The fact that Kai had quit the team for a rival team just showed jealously amongst the team mates. Looking back part 1 - My toddler days- It's all about cars
I remember certain events in the past rather vividly but strangely, I have no recollection of my days when I was 1 to 3 years old. All i know is that I used to live in a cosy bungalow in Novena, where my grandparents used to live, and that my father owned a grey Hyundai car. I used to complain about the car door handles, simply because I found it a hassle to pull it. Thinking back, I wondered why my father changed his car to an Alfa Romeo. It was probably due to my complaint, because one obvious difference was the door handle. In fact, there wasn't any handles, just something that you can press on to open the car door- something unique.
Anyway, I secretly took pride in the 'new' Alfa Romeo. It was not just because of the special way of opening car doors, but also the absolutely gorgeous car logo prominantly engraved in front. The logo was shaped like a snake and a flag side by side and I thought that was pretty cool. From there on, I became obseesed with cars. I remember that I had a stack of cards with all the statistics of the car listed. I always paid close attention to the speed ratings, and I rated Porsche, Lamboghini and Ferrari as my top 3. I also knew all the car brands at my fingertips, like Saab, Audi etc. It was a fantastic childhood memory that I would forever cherish because I may never experience the relaxing and innocent life of a toddler again.

One of my bleakest days 28/10/10 (part 2)
I remember the date, time and location vividly - 28 October 2010, 1300hrs, NUS Sports Drive 1. I had committed a grave mistake that I should have avoided after all.
But as for now, I'm lost for words. :( This horrible memory shall be etched in my mind forever.

One of my bleakest days 28/10/10 (part 1)
Phew, it has been quite a while since I have written my last post. Well, I have been busy with some 'stuff'.
I prefer to forget this horrible day- 28/10/10, but decide to write it anyway so that I can read it while I'm emoing =.=. That day was a huge moment for me, as I had to give two successive school presentations in my university, something that I never accomplished before.
First off was a presentation that I had put my utmost effort in. CS1010E is a computing module and I was given the task of explaining one of the tutorial questions in powerpoint slides. I appeared to be very confident as I had rehearsed my lines rather thoroughly, but in fact, my hands were involuntary shaking with nervousness. Like I have said, I had never presented for a long time and it was heart above matter at that time, which got me so nervous. My reluctance to present started to show when I could not display the slides from my laptop onto the big screen. I started to panic a bit, but the tutor was kind to help out. After 5 mins, I started my presentation. My tutor had to stop me halfway as he thought that I was not clear and concise enough in my explanation. After presenting, I was slightly discouraged as I felt that I did not perform up to my expectations.
After which, I had to routinely rush off to the next tutorial venue. It was crucial as I had to give my second presentation. I was late but my presentation was around 5 minutes later. I was not sure how to answer the tutorial question. Ironically, the answers were given out via the ivle website prior to that day. Like a rebellious 10-year old schoolkid, I presented what I thought was the correct answer (which was totally different from the answer provided). I was already in a bad mood and wanted to end this chaos as soon as possible. Perhaps my mind wasn't thinking straight.
After the tutorials finished, I still needed to attend a lab practice. I drove my car around NUS so as to relieve my frustration, but to minimal effect. After that, at around 1pm, I entered a carpark to find a parking space. It was then when I realised that my nightmare became a reality.
